CALCO

General non-profit description:  CALCO explores, researches, and designs advanced learning concepts, which aim to integrate transformative and innovative processes into the everyday.

Mission Statement:  We are literally a center, both online and on land created and designed to build a learning culture dedicated to the growth and development of people, communities, organizations, and nations.  

§  At CALCO, Advanced Learning concepts are processes that illuminate, transform, and cultivate discovery, curiosity, innovation, and insight. 

§  CALCO focuses on the development and innovation of skills in communication, ways of interaction, ways of being, and ways of seeing the world as it becomes increasingly complex.

§  CALCO is informed by a multi-disciplinary approach of theory, practice, and the latest research from a vast range of fields including, but not limited to, psychology, neuroscience, adult education theory, design, and leadership. 

§  CALCO facilitates collective participation towards the development of advanced learning by using the Internet and social networks to foster the exchange of ideas, curriculum, and learning design.

§  At CALCO, the application and evolution of advanced learning has deep social value.  This shared value is to be accentuated, accumulated and dispersed through a multi-disciplinary collaborative focus.
